March 11 Touring Delhi Old and New

My friend Marjorie's favorite way to pass the time between sites is to knit and have her camera at the ready.

We went to an ancient but still active mosque. Where, of course, we had to take off our shoes, and wear robes to go in. Marjorie is kicking herself that she didn't pay the extra fee for taking a camera in. So no pictures.
Then we had a bicycle rickshaw ride through what seemed like a narrow alley full of wholesale shops. Then on to the special area where Gandhi was cremated and later Prime Ministers are commemorated. It is a lovely park type place. The next place was the Bahai faith's Lotus Temple shown in the picture below. Our final stop was at an site used since at least the 4th century by a King, Hindus and then Muslim's as a place of worship. A busy day, that had lots of knitting time between stops.
